A fresh start
Now that my novel is in its final editing stages, I've finally found time to reactivate my old website. I took the opportunity and switched to a static site generator instead of some CMS that would need constant attention like a bored puppy.
I chose Zola because it neatly fits my personal philosophy. Now, Zola is definitely a developer's tool and not recommended for people who don't like writing code. Plus, the documentation is a bit on the sparse side. But once you get the hang of it, it's really fun to use and best of all, you're never going to have to worry about patching your CMS again. And you get incredible performance at the same time. Now that's my kind of web development.
I've decided to go online now even though I'm still working on the website. I'm going to upload some blog posts I have already prepared, so things are hopefully going to change pretty quickly on here. If you notice anything broken or have some ideas about what you'd like to see, tell me. I'd love to get some input about making my website as accessible as possible. That's something we just don't give enough attention to.
